Osteopathy Treatment

Manual osteopathy treatment involves the use of hands-on techniques to manipulate the joints and soft tissues of the body, with the aim of reducing pain, improving function, and promoting overall health and wellness. Osteopaths are trained in a variety of manual techniques, including spinal manipulation, mobilization, soft tissue therapy, and stretching.

SPINAL MANIPULATION

Also known as Osteopathic adjustment, is the most common form of manual treatment. It involves applying a controlled, sudden force to a joint, typically the spine, to restore proper alignment and function. The goal of spinal manipulation is to improve joint mobility, reduce pain, and improve overall function of the musculoskeletal system.

MOBILIZATION

Mobilization is another type of manual treatment that involves a slower, more gentle approach to joint manipulation. It is typically used for patients with acute pain, inflammation, or injury, and involves stretching and moving the joint through a range of motion to improve mobility and reduce pain.

SOFT TISSUE THERAPY

Soft tissue therapy is a form of manual treatment that targets the muscles, tendons, and ligaments of the body. It can include techniques such as myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and massage, and is often used in conjunction with spinal manipulation or mobilization to address musculoskeletal issues.

STRETCHING

Stretching is another important aspect of manual treatment. Doctor may use a variety of stretching techniques to help improve flexibility, reduce muscle tension, and promote overall wellness.

DROP TABLE TECHNIQUE

The Drop Table technique can be used to address a variety of musculoskeletal issues, including back pain, neck pain, and headaches. It is often used as part of a comprehensive Manual treatment plan, which may also include other manual techniques, soft tissue therapy, and stretching, depending on the individual needs of the patient.
